2. Description of Service
Stashr is a free file sharing service that allows users to upload, store, and share files anonymously. The Service provides:
- File uploads up to 500MB per file
- Password protection for uploaded files
- Configurable download limits
- Automatic file expiration options
- No registration required for basic usage
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use Stashr only for lawful purposes. You are prohibited from uploading, sharing, or distributing:
- Illegal Content: Content that violates any local, state, national, or international law
- Copyrighted Material: Content that infringes on intellectual property rights without proper authorization
- Malicious Software: Viruses, malware, ransomware, or any harmful code
- Explicit Content: Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content exploiting minors
- Harmful Content: Content that promotes violence, terrorism, hate speech, or discrimination
- Personal Data: Unauthorized distribution of personal or sensitive information of others
- Spam: Unsolicited bulk messages or automated uploads
3.2 File Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to the files you upload. By uploading files to Stashr, you grant us a limited license to store and serve your files for the purpose of providing the Service.
3.3 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share. We are not responsible for user-uploaded content and do not actively monitor uploads. However, we reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
4. Privacy and Data Protection

4.1 Data Storage
- Files are stored securely on our infrastructure
- We do not access, view, or scan the content of your files
- Password-protected files are encrypted
- Files expire automatically based on your selected expiration time
4.2 Metadata Collection
We collect minimal metadata including:
- File size and type
- Upload timestamp
- IP address (for abuse prevention)
5. Service Limitations
5.1 File Size and Type
- Maximum file size: 500MB per upload
- Almost all file types are allowed with an exception for executables and scripts
5.2 Rate Limits
To ensure fair usage and prevent abuse, we implement the following rate limits per IP address:
- 5 uploads per 15 minutes
- 15 uploads per hour
- 30 uploads per day
5.3 File Expiration
Files uploaded to Stashr are stored based on your expiration settings:
- Files are stored for 30 days if no expiration time is set
- If you set an expiration time (1 hour to 30 days), files will be automatically deleted after that period
- You have full control over how long your files remain available
6. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use the Service to host, store, or distribute illegal content
- Attempt to bypass rate limits or download restrictions
- Use automated tools or bots to abuse the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use the Service to harm, harass, or impersonate others
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
7. Enforcement and Termination
7.1 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that:
- Violates these Terms of Service
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Is reported as harmful or illegal
- Violates applicable laws or regulations
7.2 Account Suspension
We may temporarily or permanently ban IP addresses that:
- Repeatedly violate these Terms
- Upload illegal or harmful content
- Abuse the Service through automated tools
- Attempt to compromise system security

8. Intellectual Property
The Stashr name, logo, design, and all related trademarks are the property of Stashr. You may not use our branding without explicit written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties regarding availability, reliability, or accuracy
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Warranties regarding the security of your files
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stashr shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, files, or access to the Service
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your files
- Damages caused by third-party content or actions
- Any damages exceeding the amount paid for the Service (if applicable)
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stashr, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Content you upload or share through the Service
12. DMCA and Copyright Claims
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded without authorization, please contact us with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- The file URL on Stashr
- Your contact information
- A statement of good faith belief
- Your electronic or physical signature
13. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
